I'll start with the formats that will be relevant for experts in 2024:

Format: Educational Standup - a talking head in the frame delivering valuable, useful information to the viewer.

Format: Personal Stories - the same "talking head" sharing unique experiences through storytelling.

Format: Citations- useful citations emphasizing key ideas, preferably your own. A great format when there's no time to record yourself in the frame, but don't overuse it. After all, the emphasis is on being media-savvy. You should be recognizable!

Format: News Commentary - analyzing events from your perspective as an expert. For example, you can discuss current trends in education, law, fitness, nutrition, and share your own ideas on their optimal implementation.

The main takeaway here: these formats will suit experts who are distant from shooting creative videos or simply don't have time for it.

My 5 rules for creating reels:

Scripting is a Must

Always!No improvisation, especially if you feel unsure in front of the camera and lack TV experience. Write scripts for 30 days ahead, shoot the videos, dedicate half a day to shooting and editing, and you'll be at ease.

Remember, One Reel, One Idea

Valuable information is much more beneficial than beautifully shot scenes. You can shoot at home against a white wall; if what you say is valuable, the audience will forgive the absence of professional lighting or decorations.

Quick Shooting

Film within 5 minutes, plus 5 minutes for editing, and post immediately. No need to spend a day creating a cool video. If you don't get likes or reach, it can disappoint you, drop your motivation, and we don't need that. We need you, as a novice expert on Instagram, to emerge from the shadows and gain popularity just with your presence. This is a case where quantity is better than quality! If you're a perfectionist, convince yourself to create 30 low-quality videos. Allow yourself to do so!

People don't always find it convenient to watch videos with sound. Captions will increase the number of views.

And now, the most valuable tip. It's important to remember one simple truth: you don't need to be a journalist or a scriptwriter to start writing scripts for reels. There are many different formulas to enhance this scriptwriting skill: AIDA, AIDCA, ACCA, PMHS, and many others.

For example, let's use the PMHS formula, which stands for PAIN, MORE PAIN, HOPE, SOLUTION. In texts written using this formula, we focus on the problems and reasons for the audience's discomfort. The first part – the audience's pain; the second – "more pain" (try not to go excessively negative; your goal is to interest the client, not upset them). Afterward, we give the client hope that the problem can be solved. And, in essence, we talk about the solution – announcing the product.

Let's delve into the field of nutrition with a focus on liver health. This is an authentic case where I assisted a nutrition expert in crafting scripts for reels, setting the stage for a major offline conference on liver health. Allow me to share a script from one of these reels:

Of course, formulas are not a 'panacea'; a successful text can be written without them. But using schemes is still worth it: at least to train your skill.
